On "Retraced" legendary Ozzy Osbourne guitarist and songwriter Jake E Lee revisits some of the music that inspired him as a young guitarist. Teaming up with drummer Aynsley Dunbar (Journey, Whitesnake, Frank Zappa), bassist Tim Bogert (Jeff Beck, Cactus, Vanilla Fudge), and vocalist Chris Logan (MSG), Jake plays stellar versions of songs previously recorded by artists such as Free, Montrose, Grand Funk, Johnny Winter, Robin Trower, etc., each song brimming with high energy guitar work.

Richie Kotzen ( Poison, Mr. Big) came into the public eye in the early 90's with his eponomously titled solo release that established him as a guitar prodigy and helped land him the cover of Guitar World Magazine. Kotzen was then asked to join "Poison" and co-wrote most of the songs on the gold record "Native Tongue." Over the years Kotzen has developed as a singer songwriter and has stayed busy with an active solo career.

"Electric Joy" marks Kotzen’s(Poison, Mr. Big) third album for Shrapnel. Together again with Atma Anur, Richie delivers a collection of original instrumental compositions with tasteful melodies and contemporary guitar techniques that helped to cement his position in the music world as a guitarist's guitarist. Richie recorded this record shortly before signing to Interscope records. When offered the Poison gig, Interscope released him from his solo deal only for Kotzen to later sign a deal with Geffen.

Kotzen's record, Slow, proves his worth as a potent singer/songwriter while retaining a strong guitar presence, available for the first time as a domestic release.

Richie Kotzen's latest LP is an instrumental offering of aggressive rock and fusion compositions which highlight his virtuosity and diversity. Veteran drummer Gregg Bissonette (David Lee Roth, Ringo Star’s All Star Band) lays down an innovative series of fusion grooves, augmented on three songs by veteran bass legend Jeff Berlin.
