George Lynch Souls of We

Guitarist George Lynch
 was one of the top guitarists in
 the 80’s and appeared on the cover
 of nearly every guitar oriented magazine
 in the world. As a member of Dokken he
 churned out a series of multi-platinum albums,
each one with more impressive guitar work on it than the
 next. As a touring member of Dokken, he saw the world
 and introduced fans across the globe to his phenomenal,
stylistic approach to the guitar. In the 90’s George had
 another round of success with his own group the Lynch Mob 
on Elektra records and again supported his releases with a heavy touring schedule.

Paul Gilbert

Paul Brandon Gilbert (born November 6, 1966 in Illinois, USA) is an American guitarist. He is well known for his technical guitar work with Racer X and Mr. Big, as well as many solo albums and numerous collaborations and guest appearances with other musicians.

 

Michael Lee Firkins

Born in Omaha, Nebraska in 1967, Michael Lee Firkins was born into a musical family with a father who played pedal steel guitar and a mother who played the piano. Firkins also listened to classic rock such as Led Zeppelin, AC/DC and Lynyrd Skynyrd and widened his listening spectrum to include the great country pickers as he grew older. When Firkins finished his professional demo in the late 80’s and sent it to Shrapnel label owner Mike Varney, Varney who was blown away with Firkin’s fresh approach to instrumental music and immediately signed him to the guitar centric label.

Steeler

Steeler was an early 1980s American heavy metal band from Nashville. Band members included: Ron Keel on vocals and guitar, Michael Dunigan on lead guitar, Bobby Eva on drums and Tim Morrison on bass. In 1982, they released the single "Cold Day in Hell". Eva left the band after a short while and was replaced by drummer Mark Edwards. This new line-up did not last long and released no albums or singles.

M.A.R.S.

M.A.R.S. is a Heavy metal supergroup. The band's name is made up of the initial of each musician's last name: guitarist Tony MacAlpine, drummer Tommy Aldridge, singer Rob Rock and bassist Rudy Sarzo.

Joey Tafolla

Joey Tafolla is an American guitarist. Initially a member of the heavy metal band Jag Panzer from 1984 to 1985, he joined Mike Varney's Shrapnel Records label soon after; releasing his debut album Out of the Sun in 1987, alongside the releases of other shred players such as Marty Friedman, Jason Becker, Paul Gilbert, Richie Kotzen, Tony MacAlpine and Vinnie Moore, among others. His second release in 1991, Infra-Blue, was a noticeable departure from the neo-classical stylings of his first album, and demonstrated a more standard instrumental rock-orientated sound.

Cacophony

Cacophony was an American heavy metal band formed in 1986 by guitarists Marty Friedman and Jason Becker. They remained active until 1989, after which both guitarists would go on to forge their own solo careers and join other bands.
